Glycerin is a humectant which attracts moisture from the air to your skin and is naturally produced during saponification process of making soap.

Mica is a mineral that can be mined from the earth or synthesized in a factory.  Micas give cold process soap sheen adding sparkle and shine.  

There are many that can be used such as colloidal oatmeal, coffee grounds, poppy seeds, sugars, salts, or pumice 

Colloidal oatmeal is said to improve skin dryness , alleviate itching and irritation, moisturizes the skin, and soothes bug bites.  Best of all it is said to relieve symptoms of eczema and psoriasis.

Sodium lactate is liquid all natural salt.  Adding sodium lactate to our soaps helps me to unmold the soaps.

 Tussah silk fibers are added to our soaps for a soft silky feel.
